FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: icebreaker is provided with rod whose one end is received by hole in flexible hose. Rod 6 may be made in form of hammer. Outlet opening of branch pipe is directed upward. Rod is buoyant. Besides that, icebreaker may be provided with hollow attachment 8 with through hole 9 in aft extremity and in upper portion of fore extremity and with guide blocks 10 arranged vertically in aft extremity of attachment; flexible hose is provided with tapes 11; one end of each tape is secured on winch drum and other end is passed in succession through hole in flexible hose, through one guide block of attachment and is secured on outer surface of branch pipe. Free end of rod is brought to chamber of attachment through its aft hole 9 and is provided with torus envelope fitted on it. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of ice breaking. 3 cl, 3 dwg
