FIELD: photomaterials. SUBSTANCE: method involves addition to bromo-iodo-silver emulsion with 3 mol.% AgJ at mean size of silver halide microcrystals d = 0.08-0.18 mcm, pH = 5.9-6.3; pBr = 3.1-0.1 but before sensitizing dye 3,3'-di-γ-sulfopropyl-5,5'-dimethoxy-9-ethylthiacarbocyanine betaine (I) and activating agent (II) C2H5NH where K - or 1,1'-diethylquinomonomethine cyanine where ; - TOS sensitizing agent (III) and activating agent (II) where: - TOS; or sensitizing agent (IV) C2H5 where R - ; n = 1 or (V) and activating agent (II) at amount 1 mole activating agent per 1 mole sensitizing agent, and sensitizing agents (I) , (III) and (V) were added at amount 192 x 10-6 mole/mole AgHal. After addition of sensitizing agent (I) and activating agent (II) to emulsion pyridine salt of 3.3'-di-γ-sulfopropyl-9-methylthiacarbocyanine betaine (V) and activating agent (II) were added to emulsion at molar ratio 1:1, and sensitizing agents (I) , (II) , (III) , (IV) , (V) were added to emulsion at amount (128-750) x 10-6 mole/mole AgHal. Sensitization maximum of panchromatic fine-grained and superfine-grained emulsion is 650-660 nm. EFFECT: enhanced light sensitivity of emulsion. 3 tbl, 2 dwg
