METHOD FOR CONVERSION OF PERIODICAL OPTICAL SIGNAL TO CODE AND DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF SAID METHOD Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract SU 1800927 A1

FIELD: electric instruments. SUBSTANCE: method and device can be used for digital phase-sensitive voltmeters which are designed for exploration of ore formations bedded at 1,5-2 km below surface. method involves selecting several signals and storing finite number of selection, determination and comparison of average value and median for several selections. During this process if median is less than average value then maximal selection is excluded, otherwise, minimal selection is excluded. Later on, median and average value are determined and compared again. This operation and elimination of minimal or maximal selection are repeated until median and average value are equal within given precision, or their difference change its value or given number of selections are excluded. Device for implementation of method has first, second and third switches, encoding unit, majority unit, unit for detection of median, accumulating adder, first and second AND gates, control unit. Memory location, unit of OR gates, unit of inverters, subtraction unit, adder, adding and subtracting counters, first and second decoders, first and second NOR gates and division unit are introduced to accomplish the goal of invention. EFFECT: increased stability to noise. 4 cl, 2 dwg
