FIELD: production of cellulose triacetate base of photographic materials and films from polymer solutions. SUBSTANCE: installed in course of technological process, between film casting machine and unit of combined final drying is relaxation unit. It has the first chamber of relaxation by swelling, and the second relaxation chamber by heating. The chambers are separated by solid partition with slot to pass film. The first chamber has branch pipes for supply and discharge of heat carrier saturated with vapors of organic solvents from casting machine, and the second chamber is provided with branch pipes for supply and discharge of heat carrier which is not saturated with vapors of solvents from the final drying unit. In relaxation unit, film is transferred over supporting rolls by means of propelling device with electric drive which is synchronized with drives of casting machine, final drying unit and film winding unit. Sealing gate is located in slot of solid partition. EFFECT: higher quality of cellulose triacetate base of photographic materials due to uniform structure of polymer in film thickness and reduced twisting of film. 3 cl, 2 dwg
