FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: alloy based on carbide solid solution contains 3.7 mas. of vanadium carbide, the balance, solid solution of vanadium carbide in nickel containing 1.0-15.2 mas. of vanadium carbide. Due to high content of vanadium carbide in alloy, solid solution of vanadium carbide in nickel is supersaturated with vanadium carbide that increases alloy hardness and its corrosion resistance to fluorine-containing medium. EFFECT: higher efficiency in surfacing of working surfaces of seats and rods of shutoff valves of plants producing fluorine-containing compounds. 1 tbl
