FIELD: magnetic recording. SUBSTANCE: method involves separation of "O" symbol and antishift marker pulses while analyzing for parity the quantity of pulses in train invariant to loss of reproduced signals between pulses of "O" symbols; in case of separation of antishift marker pulse, strobing train is shaped which is used for correcting digital information detection process in antishift markers region. To this end, device implementing this method is provided, in addition, with reproduction heads 57, filter 58, zero pulse shaping unit 59, signal substitution unit 60, frequency multiplier 61, frequency dividers 62 and 64, AND gates 63,65,68, and 75, counters 66 and 70, flip-flop 67,69, and 72, OR gates 71 and 73, and shift registers 74 and 76 with functional connections. Detection aperture in the region of antishift marker is increased from 11±0.250.25 T to 0.5 T. Device also functions to recover uniform sequence of sync pulses thereby facilitating further processing of digital information.
