FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in optical transmission systems for correction of phase distortions of the wave front of the laser beam. Deformable mirror has reflecting membrane (1) in holder (3) gripped along the outline with nuts (2). Membrane (1) is made from magnetostrictive material and is part of the closed magnetic circuit formed by the circular rim. Installed parallel to axis of membrane (1) are cores (5) of electromagnets with magnetostrictive bushings (6) of the resonance length. Cores (5) with bushes (6) are provided with two windings connected to alternating current sources: winding (7) of electromagnetic excitation and winding (8) of magnetostrictive excitation bushing (6). Ends of each of cores (5) facing membrane (1) are made in the form of a convex curved surface. Circular rim (3) is equipped with additional electromagnetic coil (10).
EFFECT: high accuracy of phase correction due to minimisation of error processing of the specified shape surface of the mirror, as well as increased operating frequency band.
