FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: installation for electric blast pressing of tubes into tube plates of heat exchanging apparatus incorporates source of constant high voltage, bank of capacitors of discharger of electrodes connected to it contacting electric blast cartridges, system for translation of electrode and control system. Installation is provided with high-resistance resistor shunting bank of capacitors to increase operational safety of installation due to existence of resistance decoupling between high-voltage and low-voltage control circuits. It is also fitted with source and detector of light radiation. One part of resistor is connected to output of discharger and the other one - to radiation source which is connected with its other end to electrode. Radiation detector is connected to input of control system. EFFECT: increased operational safety of installation.
