FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves visualizing main and inferior-polar renal arteries and calculating systolic index of said artery, injecting caffeine into blood stream in the dose of 4-5 mg/kg of body weight, carrying out echodopplerography in 3-15 min, and calculating pharmacosystolic index of inferior-polar artery. If said index drops by 9.5 ± 1.5% and lower, the disturbance of hemodynamics in lower segment of kidney is regarded as reversible while its reduction by 2.3± 0.8% and less, as irreversible. The advantage of the method resides in non- traumatic and accurate assessment of vascular changes in lower segment of kidney in case of pelvis-ureteral stenosis caused by conflict with interfior-polar aberrant renal artery. This is required for selecting the nature of operational interference in case of hydronephrosis (plastic surgery of pelvis-ureteral segment with resection of aberrant vessels and lower kidney segment they supply). EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl
