FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: gates have guides with vertical and horizontal sections, hinged-section panel with rollers fitted on joint shafts and drive to move panel by means of chains arranged at sides of panel and coupled through sprockets with driven shaft. Rotary motion is transmitted to driven shaft from shaft through intermediate belt transmission. Gates have also additional wire rope drive in form of two pairs of strands mounted on horizontal section by means of return and supporting sheaves. Ends of upper strands are connected to upper section of panel. Lower strands are connected by cross strand. Suspended on rollers from lower strands between supporting sheaves are weights differing in weight. All wights, except for the minimum weight one, are suspended for limited travel in height. With gate sections being lifted, wire rope drive slackens and forms loops owing to suspended weights, thus providing tension of wire ropes and balancing the panel in intermediate positions. EFFECT: enhanced operation reliability. 2 dwg
