FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: liquid fuel is supplied via a carburetor and gaseous fuel is supplied from a vessel via inlet of the carburetor or inlet passage downstream of throttle gate 8. Liquid fuel supply is decreased with the beginning of gaseous fuel supply. Initial decreasing of liquid fuel portion of total fuel supply is implemented stepwise. Depending on engine operation maximum total value of fuel supply is limited by value of equivalent maximum supply of liquid fuel only. Maximum total fuel supply is limited owing to secondary decreasing portion of liquid fuel. The secondary decreasing is implemented from the moment when total supply is reached 80-90% of its maximum value corresponding to engine operation at regimes of maximum torque. Maximum supply of gaseous fuel of total supply is implemented when torque is maximum. In increasing speed of rotation of a shaft gaseous fuel portion shall be decreased and when load decreases before reaching idling regime supply of gaseous fuel shall be cut-off. In addition, contour of gaseous fuel supply can be provided with a batcher. The batcher is provided with intake and control chambers 22,25. Gas pipe line has two branches 20,21. Two seats of a valve with two shut-off members are set in chamber 22. The valve is coupled with a diaphragm of the batcher. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwg
