FIELD: manufacture of internal combustion engines with spark-plug ignition system and carburetion working on several fuels.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method provides for additional procedures for control of fuel feed, carburetion and fuel combustion processes. Proposed method includes feed of main fuel - gaseous high-octane fuel into intake manifold of engine and separate feed of at least one additional liquid whose octane number is below that of main fuel. When engine works on main fuel, exhaust gas temperature is measured. Prior to feed of additional fuel to engine, additional fuel is mixed with air or with main fuel. Amount of additional fuel is increased depending on rotational speed of engine shaft to optimal ratio of main and additional fuels. To this end, exhaust gas temperature is measured during operation of engine on main and additional fuels and optimal ratio of main and additional fuels is determined by maximum drop of exhaust gas temperature as compared with that during operation of engine on main fuel only, after which feed of additional fuel to engine is discontinued. Specification describes systems realizing first and second versions of invention.

EFFECT: increased power; enhanced economical efficiency; improved dynamic properties of engine.
