FIELD: conversion engineering. SUBSTANCE: converter has power transistor 5 saturated by means of current and voltage feedback. Power transistor 5 is switched over upon arrival of turn-off pulse at input of turn-off transistor 16. During turn-off interval of power transistor 5 it is rapidly brought out of saturation state due to shorting out of base circuit of series-connected turn-on winding 13 and turn-off winding 14 of control transformer 4.
