FIELD: track-laying and wheeled vehicles. SUBSTANCE: electrical transmission has thermal engine, generators mechanically coupled with engine, traction electric motors connected to generators through voltage converters. Output shafts of motors are connected to drivers through first and second reduction gears. Novelty in design of transmission is use of third electric motor, additional reduction gear, switching unit, mechanical couplings between additional reduction gear and shafts of three electric motors and design of switching unit made up of four switching elements. Additional reduction gear has two differential planetary mechanisms. Sun gear of one of these mechanisms is locked, epicycles are mechanically coupled and shafts of three electric motors are mechanically connected with carriers and sun gear of planetary mechanisms. Failure of any of three electric motors does not lead to loss of control over vehicle, but requires only partial correction of algorithm of control. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 1 dwg
