FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high-speed high-cross country capacity caterpillar vehicles with central gearboxes. Transmission represents two-flow mechanism of gearing and turning wit composite gearbox made up of reversing gearbox and main gearbox in the first power flow and with adjustable and reversing hydraulic-displacement gearing in extra drive, in the second power flow. Transmission incorporates controlled friction coupling engaging drive link of range gearbox with additional drive of sun gears of summing planetary mechanisms wherein power flows are summed or distributed. To allow stable turn on vehicle in spot turn operation without spontaneous change of turn center on vehicles sides, the following condition should be observed: K=-0.5idl/ied where K kinematic characteristic of summing planetary mechanisms, idl is gear ratio of low reverse gear for flow from drive link of rage gearbox to epicyclic train of summing planetary mechanism, ied is gear ratio of extra drive for flow from drive link of range gearbox to sun gears of summing planetary mechanisms.
EFFECT: simplified design, lower costs, fuel savings.
