FIELD: heat exchange. SUBSTANCE: heat transfer agent which is less susceptible to formation of deposits is fed to tube space, flows through tubes 2 exchanging with heat of heat-transfer agent flowing through inter-tube space and is discharged from apparatus. Heat- transfer agent which is more susceptible to formation of deposits is fed to distributing chambers 4 and having passed through distributing grates 5 enters vertical sections 16 where rises with ascending flow driving fine-grained material 12 contained there to fluidized state. After passing vertical sections 16 of inter-tube space and separation space 17, heat- transfer agent of inter-tube space is discharged from apparatus. Stable operation of heat exchange apparatus and more effective usage of heat exchange surface are obtained due to vertical longitudinal baffles 15 which divide inter-tube space into vertical sections 16 each of which contains at least one vertical row of tubes 2 excluding penetration of fine-grained material into one part of inter-tube space and freeing of other part of inter-tube space of fine-grained material. EFFECT: stable operation of heat-exchange apparatus and more effective usage of heat-exchange surface. 2 cl, 2 dwg
