SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in shell-and-tube heat exchangers for heat exchange of liquid and gaseous media. In a shell-and-tube heat exchanger, comprising covers with unions for inlet and outlet of tubular medium, casing with dense bundle of heat exchange tubes, equipped with unions for inlet and outlet of intertubular medium, heat exchange tubes are bent at their ends and separated in tube plates at larger distances than in bundle.
EFFECT: providing unobstructed passage of inter-tube medium from periphery to center of tube bundle.
