FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: friction lining is made of friction material reinforced by cellular carcass shaped like part of a cylindrical shell. Carcass has the form of drawn sheet with crescent-shaped cells whose side surfaces are of crescent. One of protruding edges of adjacent portions of cells lying at an angle to carcass surface is straight while the other one is rounded. Straight and rounded edges form internal and external surfaces of shell, respectively. EFFECT: improved design. 2 dwg
