FIELD: SHF devices. SUBSTANCE: excitation current of magnetron is provided by autoelectronic emission from edge of element facing anode which ensures primary emission. It is caused by heavy electric field due to application of anode voltage. Electrons emitted with specified element are accelerated and change direction of motion under action of SHF electromagnetic field. They partially hit element providing for secondary emission and knock out secondary electrons. The latter in their turns in avalanche multiplication provide for principle working current of device. EFFECT: use of magnetron enables circuit of device to be markedly simplified, sizes and mass of it to be reduced. 7 cl, 8 dwg
