FIELD: treatment of metals. SUBSTANCE: dressing of diamond wheel is performed with tubular electrode-tool which inner diameter exceeds width of wheel. Axis of rotation of electrode-tool is arranged in plane passing through center of diamond-bearing ring of wheel with displacement 1. Thickness h of wall is chosen from condition , where Δ′ is permissible deviation of generating line of diamond wheel from linearity; R is radius of diamond wheel. Diamond wheel and electrode-tool are connected to opposite poles of D C power supply source. Dressing is conducted with preassigned rotational speed of feed to diamond wheel and electrode-tool. EFFECT: improved efficiency of diamond wheel dressing. 2 dwg
