FIELD: machining. SUBSTANCE: electrode-tool and a diamond disk are connected to poles of a power source, they are set in the working motion and dressed in two stages. At the first stage the dressing is made in an electric arc mode (U = 10825 V, I = 100-150 A). The process is accompanied by forming of a built-up edge of erosion products on the surface of the electrode-tool. To maintain a constant gap during dressing the electrode-tool is drawn aside from the disk surface. The rate of drawing aside is controlled by the value of the working current. At the second stage the built-up edge of erosion is ground by the disk at U = 10-25 V and I = 10-30 A. EFFECT: improved quality. 2 dwg
