GEARSHIFT ROD WITH VIBRATION ISOLATING JOINT Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: torque rod is made in form of body with vibration isolating joint connecting the rod with engine unit. One end of torque rod is rigidly coupled with body of control lever connected to vehicle body floor through resilient suspension. Control lever, in its turn, is connected to shifting rod. Joint serves as third support of torque rod and lever body, respectively (two other supports being links of resilient suspension). Joint takes up main part of loads appearing at gear-shifting. Opposite end of rod is rigidly connected to holder of vibration-isolating joint. Joint has pin made fast on engine unit. Pin is arranged square to rod body axis inside flexible member. Flexible member is installed in joint holder without interference, with clearance in pin area made in form of slots arranged parallel to pin axis. Bridges are provided between slots of flexible member. Flexible member is held from axial displacement by holder slots and by jaws embracing open parts of holder. Fitted in horizontal flanges of joint holder are bushings with circular clearance relative to pin. Bushing are made of material more hard than material of flexible member, for instance, of plastics, whereas flexible member can be made of soft rubber. Joint holder is made in form of rectangular frame whose open parts are arranged parallel to pin axis. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 cl, 7 dwg
