SUBSTANCE: governor has hydraulic pump 1 immersed in working fluid which fills reservoir 2, and vertically installed cylinder 3 accommodating interconnected piston 4 and rod 5. Hydraulic pump 1 is coupled with engine crankshaft. Upper part of rod 5 plays also part of vertical toothed rack engaging with spur gear 6 installed on bracket 7 and meshed with toothed rack 12 connected with metering member 11 of fuel pump 10. Metering member 11 is coupled through spring 17 with damping device made in form of cylinder 14 with piston 15. Reservoir 2 is connected with working space of cylinder 3 through pipeline. Bypass device connected to pipeline is made in form of housing 18 with adjusting needle 19 which has adjusting lever 20. EFFECT: enhanced operation reliability. 2 cl, 1 dwg
