FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves obtaining bile intraoperationally and separating neutrophils therefrom, conducting reaction of their suspension with nitroblue tetrazolium and determining number of formazan-positive cells. If the amount of said cells is 2% and over, the diagnosis is purulent cholangitis. EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnosing and shorter investigation time.
