FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and aims at cholangitis diagnostics. Within ultrasonic scanning of common bile duct, wall thickness, lumen width and content behaviour are visually estimated. Additionally it is combined with ultrasonography of common bile duct within greatest lumen dilatation. Wall thickness and lumen diametre of common bile duct are metered that is followed with ultrasonic amplitude histogram of intraluminal content. The derived indicators are included in formula Y=-15.13 - 13.3(x1) - 2.25 (x2) + 17.38(x3), where Y is an efficiency function, x1 is a wall thickness of common bile duct within greatest lumen dilatation, x2 is a maximal lumen diametre of common bile duct, x3 is a maximum of ultrasonic amplitude of intraluminal content of common bile duct. If Y<41, cholangitis is not found; 41≤Y≤66 shows subacute cholangitis; while Y>66 indicates acute cholangitis.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of ultrasonic cholangitis diagnostic due to quantitative estimation of bile duct condition.
