FIELD: aerodynamic experiments. SUBSTANCE: method involves aligning before measurements the inlet holes of the head-metering receiver with one axis of a stationary system of coordinates lying in a plane perpendicular to longitudinal axis of receiver and making n≥ 2 measurement cycles of pressure differentials, each cycle comprising measuring pressure difference of pressures in two positions one of which corresponds to zero position of pressure receiver while the other one corresponds to turning angle of receiver around its longitudinal axis through an angle of ϕ=Π/2(n-1), returning pressure receiver to zero position and repeating next measurement cycles, multiplying in succession the information signals received in each measurement cycle by cosine and sine of receiver turning angle, integrating it in time equal to duration of a single cycle, turning the receiver at a pitch of α, and selecting the time of holding the receiver in zero position and at the end of each measurement to be larger than the time required for stabilization of pressure in pneumatic lines.
