METHOD FOR ALCOHOLISM TREATMENT Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: point TR₅ and point T₂₃ or point T₂₄ are affected by pulse current having frequency 2-6 Hz, vagus nerve and trigeminal nerve are stimulated within 30-40 s, surface of fauces and oral cavity being sprayed with interrupted stream of chlorethyl within 2-3 min (its quantity being 1.5-2 ml). All manipulations are carried out additionally to common medicinal procedure. Negative righting alcohol reflex is produced simultaneously with the beginning of electropuncture. Method is available for treatment of the second stage of alcoholism in ambulatory and stationary conditions. EFFECT: increases efficiency of the method, prolongs remission time, decreases treatment time, simplifies the method.
