FIELD: belt conveyers. SUBSTANCE: joint of rope-reinforced rubber belt has lap-connected stepped ends with reinforcing ropes 5 and 13 positioned in parallel to belt axis inside elastic lining 2 and 10. The novelty consists in that end of belt in joint on back step side is made in the form of double-face wedge 4. Thickness of belt in the place of intersection of wedge faces is equal to reinforcing ropes. Mounted in end portion of face 4 with lesser inclination angle are additional pieces of ropes 7 and 15 of different length, which are placed coaxially with reinforcing ropes 5 and 13 and with gaps 6 and 14 in relation thereto so that adjacent clearances are not positioned in one plane perpendicular to belt axis.
