FIELD: drilling of directional wells. SUBSTANCE: rotary deflecting tool has body 1 with knives 2. Installed on body ends are upper sub 18 and lower sub 17 provided with blades of different height and flexible members of different rigidity. Blades 19 of larger height have flexible members 20 with rigidity higher than that of blades 21 of smaller height. Larger blades on subs are arranged diametrically opposite. Body 1 accommodates shaft 3 and annular piston 4 with bevelled side surface 5 provided with extensible member 6 by means of dovetailing. End surface of piston is provided with cam 8 for interaction with pin 7 installed on shaft 3. To orient the deflecting tool in the required direction, large blades 19, pin 7 and extensible member 6 are positioned in same plane. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 dwg
