FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: two crown gas-oxygen burners in each smelting bath are located asymmetrically relative to the vertical axis of the bath in a vertical plane passing through its longitudinal axis. One of the burners is located at a distance of 0.10-0.15, and the second on the side of a connecting channel - at 0.20-0.35 of the bath length on the level of thresholds of charging doors from the bath vertical axis. The burners are located at a height of 0.7-0.9 of the crown height from the level of the thresholds of the charging doors. The asymmetric position of the flames generated by the burners provides contours of long time circulation of the flue gases. EFFECT: improved efficiency. 2 dwg, 2 tbl
