FIELD: test equipment. SUBSTANCE: test impact acceleration is formed by decelerating a piston with tested article accelerated in a body. The piston is decelerated by an inertial mass in the form of a piston positioned in the body between the piston and the body cut. Additional gas release windows are made in the body at the section between the piston and the inertial body. After the piston is engaged with the inertial mass the piston is stopped and the inertial mass flowing out of the body is caught by a brake device located ahead of the body cut. The piston is accelerated by transferring kinetic energy of a piston-striker to it, the piston-striker is accelerated by the gas pressure produced when a high-pressure chamber communicates through a quick-acting valve with the part of the body cavity between a shutoff device and the piston-striker. EFFECT: improved structure. 1 dwg
