FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: blood sample was taken from patient, lipoid fraction of blood serum was isolated and number of double bonds in dynamics and index of nonsaturation of lipoid fraction were calculated. When value of said index dropped below normal, insulin dose was increased and when it proved over normal level, medicinal dose of insulin was left unchanged. EFFECT: disclosed method allows correcting insulin-involving therapeutic treatment of patients suffering from diabetes mellitus and diminish possible complications.
