FIELD: electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has high-nonlinear resistors connected in series. Pairs of spark gaps units connected in series are connected in parallel to these resistors. Circuit formed by commutator shunted by capacitor and the first resistor is connected in parallel to one of spark gap in each pair; commutators are connected in series. Common outputs of resistor and commutator are connected with medium point of two parts of high-nonlinear resistors through the second resistor. These two parts of high-nonlinear resistors are shunted by the pair of spark gaps. EFFECT: improved efficiency of limitation of overvoltages. 1 dwg
