ALTERNATING CURRENT UNIPOLAR MACHINE Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

Abstract RU 2009600 C1

FIELD: transport power engineering. SUBSTANCE: two unipolar machines are joint with their ends. The machines have stationary stator and electrochemical conversion fuel cells disposed in the space of stationary stator. Windings of the machines which have to be fuel cells simultaneously are connected in series through electrodes of a. c. MHD-pump and are applied oppositely; the windings are commutated through thyristor commutator. There are ultrasonic radiators between electrode spaces of fuel cell. The radiators are connected to ultrasonic oscillation generator. Shafts of rotors of both machines are made to conduct electric current and are joint through spring-loaded brushes. End effects may be mutually compensated. Energy of end effects may be used for operation of MHD-pumps. EFFECT: improved efficiency; improved specific capacity of power. 3 dwg
