FIELD: machine tool manufacture. SUBSTANCE: tool is set in mechanical high-frequency and ultrasonic oscillations in the direction of the main cutting movement while machining a blank after the beginning of cutting. The oscillation amplitude is determined on condition of stability of the cutting process. Cutting time τ and linear velocity V of tool vibrations during time t are measured for each cycle of oscillations. This allows the tool coordinate Y in the part coordinate system to be determined from a formula Y=U·τ/2·Πn(T-2τ) where n is the number of blank revolutions. EFFECT: improved accuracy. 2 dwg
