FIELD: machine tool manufacture. SUBSTANCE: lathe-machinable part is set in rotation. The tool feed is set. A tensile force at frequency no more than the frequency of forced oscillations of the tool and at amplitude no more than the flexible value during extension is applied to the machinable part. This is achieved by selection of the tool and part frequency range so as to machine outside the critical range of the lathe, its members. The tool amplitude provides stability of the system, and the tensile force amplitude - change of the state of aggregation of the machinable material. EFFECT: improved quality. 1 dwg
