FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: aqueous suspension of calcium carbonate is treated with hexafluorosilicic acid solution by two stages. At the first stage treatment is carried out with a mixture of hexafluorosilicic acid and clarified solution obtained from the second stage. Precipitate is separated and treated with hexafluorosilicic acid taken at concentration 20-50% of stoichiometrically required at 40-80 C. Obtained calcium fluoride has, wt. -% : CaF3 95.6-98.6; CaCO3 0.2-0.6, and SiO2 0.8-1.2. Utilization degree is 94.7-95.0% . Method is used in hydro- gen fluoride reprocessing.
