FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: shock absorber has a guide rod and a deformable member in the form of a hollow cylinder with ring projections on the inner surface. The hollow cylinder is made from a set of concentrically located tubes each of different specified height, and the ring projections are made isolated with an inclined slot and are connected to free ends of each tube by welding with full filling of the slot. The shock absorber may have additional ring projections identical to the main ones uniformly mounted and fastened to outer free cylindrical surfaces of each tube between ring projections. Method for manufacturing the plastic shock absorber involves setting of the hollow cylinder from tubes each of different specified height, ring projections are produced by cutting a section of each tube, then an inclined slot is made in them, the ring projections are flexibly moved apart up to the outer diameter of the initial tube. Then the ring projections are connected to tubes by welding with full filling of the inclined slot. EFFECT: improved structure and quality. 8 dwg
