FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: proposed particle counter can find use as counter of leucocytes, erythrocytes and thrombocytes in blood of humans and animals as well as meter of volume and concentration of vegetable and animal cells and bacteria in biotechnological processes and in systems of check of purity of technological fluids in industrial production. Particle counter has dish with current-conducting suspension of particles with measurement tubes placed in it vertically. Tubes have calibrated inlet holes. Upper ends of measurement tubes are connected by means of pneumatic drive to vacuum source. External electrode is positioned in dish and internal electrodes are put into measurement tubes. Electron unit for measurement and processing of data includes current pulse generator and commutator, differential amplification circuit, comparator and current pulse counter connected in series. Current pulse generator is linked to external electrode and via commutator to internal electrodes. EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity of measurement of sizes of particles thanks to reduced signal-to-noise ratio, increased productivity of measurement process. 2 dwg
