FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: single-phase asynchronous electric motor has stator with split magnetic circuit, excitation winding 3 and rotor 4. Stator includes yoke 1 and salient poles 2 in the form of spider. Saturation bridges 8 are located in straps 7 between poles. Saturation bridge is placed of medium line between axes of two poles at distance K/4 of tooth division, where K is integral odd number. Magnetic circuit of spider is composed of several similar parts placed along rotational axis of rotor. Number of parts of spider is equal to even number. Neighboring parts are turned by 180 deg with respect to pole axis. Rotor has straight slots. EFFECT: improved operational characteristics. 2 dwg
