SUBSTANCE: method involves placing simulators of foreign objects 11 on screen 9 disposed under water intake 7, creating vortex by sucking water out through water intake and determining location of vortex center by measuring distance from top of elevation formed by accumulated simulators of foreign objects 11 during water suction to front lower edge of water intake 7 and from top of elevation to axis of symmetry of water intake 7.
