The device is characterized in that it is provided with at least two divider units, one adder and auxiliary recorder. The device discriminates signals with different amplitudes from a received signal and performs amplitude-wise counting of the absolute number of these pulses in channels and the ratio of numbers of pulses with different amplitudes in these channels. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy due to determining the ratio of acoustic emission pulses with different amplitudes. 1 dwg
