FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: before flooding the bed of the reservoir, trees are felled to produce logs. Connected to one end of logs which retain their positive buoyancy, is a float while the other ends are ballasted. Part of logs are fastened together into bundles. On flooding the bed, the logs and log bundles occupy a vertical position in water. Logs are then taken by water to a basin communicating with water reservoir which has a well-equipped mooring side. Booms connected to said side divide the water surface into plots where logs are kept in vertical position. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 cl, 2 dwg
