FIELD: mineral opencast mining. SUBSTANCE: method provides for excavation by cuts, filling on formed beyond trench area of overburden rocks excavated within trench contour with edge padding, formation in said rocks of slope of nonworking edge, working by two layers, formation of area for filling rocks on the surface of second layer. Area is taken wide enough to accommodate rocks of this layer, working of second layer within contour of trench and laying of rocks excavated from second layer on said area. EFFECT: increased stability of trench nonworking edge due to reduced height of loosened rocks. 1 dwg
