FIELD: heat power engineering. SUBSTANCE: arranged inside air supply duct 1 of rectangular cross section is gas header 2 with group of nozzles 3 which are parallel to longitudinal axis of duct 1 and are enclosed in coaxial bushes 5 at circular clearance 4. Bushes 5 are engageable with header 2 and front end wall 6 of duct 1. Clearance 4 is brought in communication with interior of duct 1 by means of tangential passages made in side walls of bushes 5. Beads 9 directed towards each other are secured on front ends of larger side walls 8 of duct 1. Slotted holes 10 are made in wall 6 flush with walls 8. Holes 10 are parallel to larger axis of symmetry of duct 1 and are located in pairs on either side of nozzles 3. Part of air (primary air) from duct 1 flows to clearances 4 through tangential passages in walls of bushes 5. Air is swirled in clearances 4 and then it is mixed with gas fed through nozzles 3. Swirled jets of primary gas-and-air mixture flow to combustion zone where they are ignited. Remaining part of air (secondary air) flows from duct 1 to combustion zone through holes 10 in flat jets. Impact of central and peripheral jets breaks swirling of central jet and causes active mixing of secondary air with unburnt gas. As a result, favorable conditions are created for intensive after-burning of fuel. Combustion products thus formed heat flue gases moving upward and flowing around duct 1.
