FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: device has a source of attracting optical radiation. The source is luminescent lamp 3. The device also has suction fan 4 and high-voltage unit 5. The unit, located under the fan, has a cassette of conducting plates 6. The height of the plates is at lest 250 mm, and they are spaced 10 mm one from another. Insects, attracted by the lamp light, find themselves in a receptacle, and the fan sucks them into the killing unit. In the unit they find themselves between the plates (is they are less than 10 mm in size), or they roll down the inclined upper edge of the plate and pass through hole 9 for discharge of bigger insects.
