FIELD: welding. SUBSTANCE: pipes to be welded are clamped to ensure free overhang. Then they are aligned and their ends are heated to a temperature close or equal to melting point. After free overhang and temperature field gradient reach definite values upsetting is performed. EFFECT: high quality of welding of thin-walled pipes.
