FIELD: radiospectroscopy. SUBSTANCE: resonance effect in quadrupole nuclei of single chemical element of tested specimen is carried out by using resonance, inducing in intracrystalline fields of the material of tested specimen, when it is influenced by radio-frequency pulse with preset frequency of radio-frequency field. After that nonuniform magnetic field is applied to tested specimen with preset gradient for creating corresponding sensitive area, and response signal is detected within the area. Then nonuniform magnetic field is applied to any unit of volume of the tested specimen; magnetic field gradient changes continuously, and corresponding sensitive area is created. After that response signal is recorded from all the units of volume of tested specimen, and image of nuclei distribution of tested specimen may be achieved in set cross-section.
