FIELD: machining. SUBSTANCE: device has fixed and moving carriages with wedge-shaped catching members moved by pneumatic cylinders. Journals of pneumatic cylinders are positioned in pads inserted in spaced relation to windows of legs fixed on moving and stationary carriages. Pads are in the form of regular polygons with holes for journals and even number of edges having holes for pins fixedly installed in legs of carriages so that their axes align with axes of holes in pads. Centers of holes for journals of pneumatic cylinders are displaced relative to axes of symmetry of pads to provide increase of range of dimensions of material to be fed at the expense of rapid change of position of pneumatic cylinders.
