FIELD: power generation for marine vessels. SUBSTANCE: power plant has main gas-turbine engine 1 with compressor 2 and its drive turbine 3 mounted on shaft 4, and power turbine 5 mounted on shaft 6. Shaft 6 carries inlet gear 7 of reduction unit which is in mesh with outlet gear 8 engaging propeller shaft with propeller 9. Auxiliary turbine 10 is mounted between compressor drive turbine 3 and power turbine 5. Its front shaft 11 is placed coaxially in respect to compressor and its turbine 3 inside shaft 4; rear shaft 12 of auxiliary turbine 10 is arranged coaxially in respect to power turbine 5 and gear 7 inside shaft 6. Shaft 11 mounted on its extension coupling 13 and that of shaft 12 carries coupling 14. Coupling 13 provides for coupling shafts 11 and 14, that is, provides for kinematic linkage between compressor drive turbine and auxiliary turbine; coupling 14 couples shafts 6 and 12, that is, provides for kinematic linkage between power turbine and auxiliary turbine.
